“Coaching with Ashley was a mix of encouraging friend and life coach pointing in an intentional direction with the goal of writing a purposeful testimony/story that I can share with others. Through the process I felt encouraged and supported to create a beautiful story that I never would have been able to craft on my own. Thought provoking questions, hearing what I had to say and turning it around on me and asking me to think about it a different way was unlike any coaching I had before. I feel like the story that I crafted during our time together puts a greater purpose to my struggles and helping others see there is freedom from their past hurts as well. I was able to see the current struggles I was still working through from my past during our sessions and come to a greater understanding of the freedom we have been called to. I have known I needed to write my story...
“It was such a blessing working with Ashley. I have known that I needed to write my story of redemption for a long time but wasn't sure how to get all the pieces together in a cohesive manner. I struggled with knowing what parts needed to be shared and how to keep in the details, yet not write out my entire life history. Ashley's coaching helped me so much! She helped me to zoom out, to change my perspective, and to see the big picture - my story how God sees it. She took me by the hand and walked me through the process making it simple, and doable, when before it felt so big and impossible to tackle on my own. There were parts of my story that I had forgotten and there were times in my life when I remember feeling lost and alone but walking through the steps, I was able to see how God was always there and how He has orchestrated the story my entire life, weaving together every tiny detail. I have known most of my life that God has been there for me, but taking this approach with Ashley, to sit and write it all out, I was able to truly see how much God is in every single detail, writing a perfect love story filled with grace, mercy, and redemption. It was so healing to my soul to see my story from God's perspective. I believe that we are in a season when our God stories are imperative to know so that we can share them with the world that is in turmoil. People are feeling the longing and tugging. They are feeling homesick but don't know why - they need to hear how much they are loved, and knowing and sharing our own God stories will help them to realize that it is God that they so desperately need.
